The legal industry is entering a period of rapid change as attorneys evaluate how artificial intelligence can fit into real-world legal practice. Against that backdrop, the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) is among the first state bar associations in the country to introduce enterprise-grade Legal AI member benefits designed to help attorneys access sophisticated AI tools traditionally reserved for large law firms and corporate legal departments.

As part of the initiative, ISBA members will receive access to a complimentary 30-day trial of SimpleAI, along with preferred member pricing and exclusive member discount incentives.

A growing number of attorneys are experimenting with general-purpose AI tools, but many quickly discover that legal work requires more than generic text generation.

Aaron Brooks, Chair of the ISBA AI Steering Committee, emphasized that focus when discussing the initiative:
